The 12-Books Questionnaire is a core part of this club — a consistent set of questions that will accompany every book we read. Its purpose is simple: to help you notice not just what you read, but how you read, think, and feel. The questionnaire is inspired by the Proust Questionnaire and my own desire to create a gentle, reflective ritual.

The 12 Books Club Questionnaire

1. Favorite moment of the book?

2. Where did you read this book?

3. Where would you have liked to read this book?

4. List three emotions you felt while reading.

5. When you think of this book, what one word comes to mind?

6. What colors did you see while reading it?

7. Could you be friends with anyone in the book? Who?

8. Would you want to live inside this book? Why or why not?

9. What kind of weather does this book have?

10. Would you give this book as a gift?
    - If yes, describe the person you’d give it to.
    - If not, why not?

Alongside the questionnaire, each book will include two prompts written specifically for that title, offering a playful or deeper entry point into the story. They can be found at the bottom of each page dedicated to the book, see the hamburger menu.

Answer however you like — by hand, digitally, short or long, private or shared — this is just a tool to encourage reading, writing, and reflection on your own terms. Mhmmm enjoy. Thank you for being here :—)
